Reebok Renovation Diaries: Upgrading the Camping Field for the New Season

If you’ve been dreaming of a smoother, more comfortable camping experience on the Veluwe, the Reebok Renovation Diaries have great news: we’ve been busy upgrading the camping field for the new season. When Camping De Reebok reopens on 1 April, you’ll find completely new 10‑amp power, modern power pillars, and a water tap with drainage at every pitch—all designed to make your stay easier from arrival to departure.

What’s new this season

We set out to elevate everyday convenience on the field while keeping the open, family‑friendly character you love. Here’s what’s changed—and what it means for your holiday.

Completely new 10‑amp power

Every pitch now features a brand‑new 10‑amp electrical hookup. In practice, this gives you the reliable connection you need for common camping appliances when used responsibly. You can set up without fuss, keep essentials running, and focus on what matters most: time together on the Veluwe.

Water tap and drainage at every pitch

Each pitch now includes its own water tap and drainage. That means fewer trips with jerrycans, simpler cooking and washing up, and tidier grey‑water management. It’s a small change with a big impact on day‑to‑day comfort and cleanliness around your setup.

Modern power pillars

We installed modern power pillars that integrate connections neatly at each place. This improves safety, reduces clutter, and keeps the field looking orderly. Setup is faster, and it’s easier to keep cables and hoses organized.

The upgraded field at a glance

Upgrade What it is What it means for you
New 10‑amp power Fresh electrical infrastructure at every pitch Reliable hookups for typical camping needs
Water tap per pitch Dedicated water access Less carrying, more convenience
Drainage per pitch On‑pitch grey‑water drain Cleaner, tidier pitches
Modern pillars Integrated, clearly marked connections Safer, faster setup

Designed for families and every kind of camper

Our camping terrain is one large, open grass field with excellent visibility. Parents appreciate the clear lines of sight, making it easier to keep an eye on children while they play. The field is surrounded by greenery and includes several play facilities alongside modern sanitation.

Camping De Reebok is suitable for all kinds of camping units. Whether you arrive with a tent, caravan, camper, or trailer tent, you’ll find level, accessible space and the essential services you need right at your pitch.

You’ll also find on‑site touches that make unhurried days even better—think Jeu de Boules, a bicycle storage area, and neat, well‑kept surfaces including kunstgras where appropriate. It all adds up to a relaxed outdoor rhythm that’s easy to settle into.

Your Veluwe basecamp in Garderen

Set in the heart of the Veluwe, Camping De Reebok sits just 800 meters from the village of Garderen—close enough for daily essentials, far enough for a peaceful night’s rest. There’s a separate entrance along the children’s farm, and a parking lot directly next to the camping for all cars, keeping the field calm and family‑friendly.

Our farm is a calf‑rearing farm with three stables near the house, and we’re always happy to offer a tour. The reception for the camping is located at the residence, so help is never far away.

How the upgrades improve your stay

Practical tips for making the most of 10‑amp hookups

A little planning helps you get the best from your upgraded pitch.

  1. Match appliances to capacity: Prioritize essentials and avoid running multiple high‑draw devices at once.
  2. Use safe, outdoor‑rated gear: Choose quality cables, keep connections off the ground, and fully uncoil long leads to prevent heat build‑up.
  3. Organize your setup: Route cables and hoses along the edge of your pitch to minimize trip hazards and keep things tidy.
  4. Bring the right fittings: A short hose and suitable tap connector make on‑pitch water a breeze to use.
  5. Manage grey water responsibly: Connect your drain outlet securely and check for good flow to keep your pitch clean.
  6. Protect little explorers: Show children where the pillar, tap, and drain are located and set clear boundaries.
  7. Test before you unpack: Plug in and confirm power and water flow first—then finish levelling and unpacking.

Behind the scenes: why we made these upgrades

The Reebok Renovation Diaries aren’t just about fresh paint and new kit. They’re about removing small daily frictions for campers and families. Having power, water, and drainage at every pitch brings the essentials within arm’s reach. It shortens setup time, keeps sites cleaner, and makes it easier to relax into the pace of Veluwe days—cycling, strolling the heaths, and enjoying evenings on the field.

At the same time, the upgrades respect what makes our place special: a spacious, open field with a friendly, village‑like feel. By keeping cars in the adjacent parking area and integrating connections neatly on each pitch, we preserve a calm, green setting where kids can play and grown‑ups can unwind.
